In the film, you will have the chance to see confidential archives of Academia Historica and diaries of Chiang Kai-shek, and re-examine the year 1949, a year of enormous importance. You will see the interaction and confrontation between Chiang Kai-shek and Li Tsung-jen during the 404 days after Chiang resigned from office until the day he reinstated in presidency. You will also find out what went through Chiang Kai-sheks mind when he made decisions to relocate the government in an era of turmoil and ever-changing political situations
